How it works
You build it. Your Pal checks it. It stays yours.
No drag and drop, and nothing to pay until you've seen it. Your Pal is the person at 3 Wee Pages who looks after your site.
You build it
- Answer plain questions and pick one of six looks, in your colour
- Watch your three pages build as you go, on a phone and a computer
- Tick off your details, then sign it off and pay when it's right
Your Pal checks it and puts it live
- Reads every page against your answers, and checks anything customers rely on, like a registration or insurance
- Checks your search listing: each page's title and description, and that your phone, hours and area are right
- Gets your .co.uk registered in your name, then puts your site live
It stays yours to keep up to date
- Change your hours, services, wording and contact details yourself, from your account
- Two reviews a year by your Pal, on request or booked in
- Hosting, the padlock and your .co.uk renewal: £49 a year from year two
Coming soon: your own email address, like hello@yourbusiness.co.uk, forwarded to the inbox you already use at no extra cost. When you reply, it comes from your usual address.
What's a review? Your Pal looks over your live site: checks your details, hours and services are still right, reads your search listing and tries it on a phone. Then they fix what's wrong, or tell you what to change if you'd rather do it yourself. Ask for one from your account whenever you like, or ask your Pal to book both in for the year. More about after it's live
Would you rather do it all yourself? Weigh up building it yourself or having it done, or follow how to make a website for a small business, whichever way you build it.
Done with you
Small business website design, without the agency
Website design usually means meetings, drafts and revision rounds. Here you answer the questions a designer would ask, and watch the answers become your site.
What you get
Three pages: home, your services and how to reach you. One of six looks in your colour. Your own .co.uk, registered in your name. UK hosting and the padlock for the first year. Then you keep it up to date yourself, with two reviews a year by your Pal.
How it differs from hiring a web designer
No meetings and no blank page. You see the whole site before you pay, and a person checks it against your answers before it goes live. Weighing it up? Here's how we compare with hiring a web designer.
What it costs
£149 to launch, then £49 a year, and £25 if you ever leave. Where many small business website packages come in tiers, this is one price. Here's what small business website design costs elsewhere.
Who it's for: trades and local firms that need to be found and rung. Who it isn't for: businesses that need an online shop, bookings or a blog.
Who we build for
Built around what you do
A café and a roofer need different things from three pages. Pick yours to see what your site would lead with.

- Roofers“Call for a quote” on every page, your areas, and photos of your own roofs.
- BuildersAn “Our work” page of your own jobs, and “Call for a quote” on every page.

The search engine bits come built in
You won't need to know what any of these are. They're done for you on every site — and we'll never promise you a spot on Google, because nobody honest can.
- Written for local searchesEach page is aimed at what people near you type — “plumber in St Neots”, not “welcome to my website”.
- Your details, the way Google reads themYour trade, hours, area and phone number, labelled so search engines understand them.
- Fast on a phoneLight pages with no heavy plugins, so they open quickly on a mobile signal.
- Photos described properlyEvery photo gets a short description, so search engines and screen readers know what it shows.
- A sitemap Google can readYour three pages are listed for search engines, and your robots.txt points them to it.
- Checked by your PalBefore it goes live, a person reads each page's title and description and checks your phone, hours and area are right. See an example listing.

Questions people ask
Do I need to be good with computers?
No. You answer plain questions, one at a time — the same things you'd tell someone on the phone. Your site builds itself beside the questions.
What if I don't have any photos?
Every look works without them, and you can add photos later from your phone.
Who owns the web address?
You do. Your .co.uk is registered with Nominet in your name. We look after the renewal and the technical side.
What does my Pal check?
Your Pal is the person at 3 Wee Pages who looks after your site. Before it goes live, they check your site says what you told us, that your phone number and hours are right, that each page's title and description reads well in search, and that anything customers rely on, like a registration, is true.
What happens after it's live?
You can change your hours, services, wording and contact details yourself, from your account. Two reviews a year by your Pal are included: they look over your site, check your details and search listing are still right, and fix what's wrong. Ask for one whenever you like, or have them booked in.
Is this website design or a website builder?
Somewhere in between. You answer a few questions and choose a look, your site builds from your answers, and a person checks it before it goes live. You never face a blank page, and there's no drag and drop.
How much does small business website design cost in the UK?
3 Wee Pages is £149 to launch, then £49 a year: £247 over three years. The done-for-you website providers we checked on their own pricing pages in August 2026 came to between £864 and £2,183 over the same three years.
Do I own the website?
Your .co.uk is registered in your name, and we host your site for you. If you leave after your first 30 days, ask and we'll send you a copy of your site. It's £25 to release the domain to you.
What's your business called?
That's the first question. Answer it, and a few more, and you'll see your website take shape. Nothing to pay until you're happy with it.
